Gilshenan & Luton has many divisions including
property and finance, criminal law, family law, administrative and employment
law, commercial and general litigation. Gilshenan & Luton's aim
is to provide practical, personalized advice tailored to each individual
Gilshenan & Luton had around 280,000 documents
that they needed to index. Like many law firms, the bulk of these existed
as WordPerfect files. Around 100 staff members needed to search these
files, including the document summary information. While developing
the firm's intranet, they discovered that their web server's built-in
indexing and search mechanism had neither the speed nor the capability
to meet their searching requirements.

specifications, and which product features they would get the most value
Graham Sankey, responsible for intranet development
and network support at Gilshenan & Luton, is pleased with the results
