Q8: What files should I backup before reinstalling or upgrading ISYS:image?

A: The two most important files to backup are:

Isysimg.lic - This file is located in the directory where Image is installed and contains your ISYS:image authorization code.
Isysimg32.ini - This file is located either in the Windows System directory or the WinNT directory and it contains all the configuration settings for ISYS:image.

Q9: Some of the files I scan aren't being updated into my indexes.

A: Only files in the Document store (Options window) are updated. Check that there is no directory specified in Categories configuration. If there is a different directory location for a specific category, you may choose to create a new indexing rule to include this particular directory. To create a new indexing rule:

  1. Start ISYS Utilities, making sure you have the correct index selected

  2. Choose 'File Indexing Rules' from the 'File' menu

  3. Click on the 'Create a new indexing rule' icon to create a new rule

  4. Select the folder you wish to include in the index and click on 'Next'

  5. Choose the options you wish to use for the index and click on 'Finish'

  6. Select 'Actions' - 'Update' to update the index

You may also choose to create a separate index for a particular image category
